Supporting the British Academy

With your support more young people can get the opportunity to receive high quality education based on the Heavenly Doctrine.
The British Academy has limited funds which are used for:

  1. Bringing highly qualified ministers and teachers to the UK for the Summer School.
  2. Financial assistance to students of limited means.
  3. Procure teaching materials and sports equipment.

This summer we have two science teachers coming to the Summer School. As well as being highly qualified in their field of science they are also very keen about the New Church. For their classes we would like to procure some science equipment. Even a small contribution would go a long way in getting beakers and test tubes and the like. If you have such equipment which you would like to donate that too would be much appreciated.

With your help we aim to keep improving the quality of the summer school, as well as assisting even more students to come and receive invaluable religious education.

We do run a very tight budget. However, rather than scaling down on the various projects, we prefer to do more and reach more people. We hope that by careful spending and continual contributions we can keep expanding our operation.

It is our philosophy at the British Academy that a solid education in the truths of the church, more than anything else, is what gives people an appreciation for the church. The church can only be appreciated when you know what it is about, it is only natural that this will take some learning. We have consistently found that those who attend BASS and receive this education are much more likely to stay connected with the church in years to come and their lives are much enriched by it.
